Ayurvedic Bodywork

Shiro Abhyanga

Shiro (head) Abhyanga (oil massage)

With all of the neurological and sensory processing that is processed in our face and head every day, it makes sense that we hold a lot of tension in our scalps. By releasing tension along the natural sutures lines and muscles of the scalp, the entire head is able to relax. When you add in the Ayurvedic oils and traditional Ayurvedic techniques, you will see how healing this therapy can be.

Mukha Abhyanga

Mukha (face) Abhyanga (oil massage)

Ayurvedic face massage! The face is a microcosm for the rest of the body. By following the Ayurvedic techniques, applying the proper oils, and working with facial marma (energy) points, this therapy helps to release tension from the entire mind-body system. It will begin with application of oil to the back, neck, and arms to encourage the body to begin to relax and allow the face to be calm and open before work begins.

Shiro Dhara

Shiro (head) Dhara (flow)

The most blissful, deeply relaxing therapy. A gift to human-kind. Warmed oil is methodically poured across the your forehead in a rhythmic pattern, supporting nervous system balance and the deepest state of relaxation. It encourages stress-relief, restful sleep, and deeply nourishes the hair and scalp.
